Viacom Inc Coordinator, Production Finance in Hollywood, California
Overview and Responsibilities
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the SVP, Production Finance with feature productions in the pre-greenlight process as well as prep, production and post-production stages. This role will work specifically with the Paramount TV business.
Banking and G&L Tracking responsibilities:
Set up and monitor bank accounts
Coordinate accounting systems
Monitor 3rdparty billing and receipts
Set up vendor accounts
Reporting & Critical Review:
Prepare executive management reports for upper management
Assist with production incentive tracking and data analysis
Manage user access to accounting systems
Assist with management of production accounting teams
Process accounts payable and payroll
Manage production accounting file retention
Answer calls for senior staff and assist with administrative duties as needed
1+ years' finance/accounting related experience (including internships)
Knowledge and experience using accounting software such as VISTA, PSL, SAP, PCS, Movie Magic
Basic knowledge of accounting terminology (e.g. Debits, Credits, Trial Balance)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
Knowledge and experience of payroll processing, banking systems and/or booking journal entries is ideal
Basic knowledge of film production terminology desired but not required
